In every single one of my classes, I will see logos of Starbucks, Apple, Ugg, Hunter, The North Face, and Nike. Of the logos I just named, Starbucks has the most complex design with its crowned mermaid. Many people don’t even realize it’s a mermaid. Based on what we learned in class today, the logo should fail. Yet, Starbucks still has enormous success because the the silhouette is simple. If the green and black circle’s content was not there, most people would still probably associate the circles to Starbucks. The success of the simplistic circles seems to have inspired other companies as well.
