Diet Pepsi recently introduced the new ‘slim’ can during Fashion Week this year. This month the “skinny” can will be out on shelves, awaiting those who trust that a “skinny” can and a “Diet” in the name will make you beautiful. Jill Beraud, chief marketing officer for PepsiCo said “our slim, attractive new can is the perfect complement to today’s most stylish looks…” The original can will continue to be sold for men only ( joking). However, the National Eating Disorders Association has criticized Pepsi for pairing beauty with skinny and stylish with confident. I look forward to a better grasp on the “skinny” can.
