reading response

This reading really opened up my eyes more than I thought it would with regards to the amount of time people have been using and have been thinking about typefaces. I thought it was astounding that the book showed examples of typefaces from the late 1700’s. I also thought it was interesting to learn that Gotham was the main typeface used in Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign. This reading also helped me get an idea of what I want to do with my wordmark. I was a bit lost when trying to think about my wordmark, but I think I have a better idea now.
